Extraction methods

Structured data
Respot first checks for structured pricing data embedded in the page (JSON-LD, Open Graph, and meta tags). This is the fastest and most reliable method, used by major e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and Amazon.

AI-powered extraction
When structured data is not available, Respot uses an AI engine to read the page content and identify the correct price, currency, and stock status. This handles custom-built stores and pages with non-standard markup.

Advanced rendering
Some websites load prices dynamically with JavaScript. Respot supports multiple rendering strategies, from lightweight proxies to full browser rendering, to extract prices from even the most complex pages.
Coverage
Supported site types
Respot works with any publicly accessible product page that displays a price. This includes Amazon, eBay, Shopify stores, WooCommerce sites, Magento, PrestaShop, BigCommerce, custom e-commerce platforms, and standalone product pages. If a price is visible to a human visitor, Respot can almost certainly extract it.
Limits
Known limitations
Respot cannot extract prices from pages that require authentication (login walls), pages protected by CAPTCHAs that block automated access, mobile-only apps without a web version, or PDF documents. If a tracker fails to extract data, Respot notifies you and suggests alternative approaches.
