Security & data handling

A plain-language overview of what data Respot stores, how it is kept isolated, and the rights you have over it.

What data we store

We keep only what is needed to monitor prices for you: the trackers you create (product URLs and settings), the product and price snapshots collected on each check, and your account email. We do not buy or sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Your data is isolated

Respot runs on PostgreSQL with row-level security. Access policies are enforced at the database level, so only you can read or change your own trackers, snapshots, and alerts.

We only access publicly accessible pages

Respot fetches the same product pages any visitor can open in a browser. We do not log in on your behalf, bypass paywalls, or reach anything behind authentication. If a page is not public, we do not monitor it.

Your GDPR rights

You can export or delete your data at any time, directly in the app. Export gives you a copy of your trackers and history; deletion permanently removes your account and its associated data. Both are self-serve, with no support ticket required.

Subprocessors

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run Respot:

  • Supabase - database, authentication, and hosting
  • Vercel - application hosting
  • Polar - billing and payments
  • Resend - email delivery
  • OpenRouter - LLM-based price extraction
  • Scrape.do - proxied page fetching
